2007 NHL Playoffs!

The 2007 NHL Playoffs will be starting soon! I still can't believe I almost forgot about it. As you can probably see, I have been sucked into the NBA Playoffs a bit too much. But I haven't missed any NHL action yet! Hehe. The NHL Finals will be between the Anaheim Ducks and the Ottawa Senators, starting next Monday. I'll be cheering for the Anaheim Ducks because I don't have any favorite players in the Senators. Teemu Selanne of the Ducks is one of my favorite players because he scores with the puck really well. I just checked the Stats Page on SI.com to find him in 3rd place for the most goals scored so far!

Well check back soon because there's going to be some great games coming up in the NHL Playoffs! (As well as more from the NBA of course!)

2007 Masters Tournament

What a shock for everyone! This year's 2007 Masters Tournament has been won by Zach Johnson, who has only been playing in the PGA for less than four years. Though he has been missing the cut for 7 out of his 11 majors during his career, he seems to have passed the top players, including Tiger Woods and Vijay Singh! I think that's a huge accomplishment! With such limited experience competing fully with the top players of the PGA, I really look up to Zach Johnson's achievement. I think this is going to be a sign to the top players, like Tiger and Vijay to step up their game by practice even harder.  As this year's Masters Tournament was over 4 rounds, I don't think Zach's win was from luck at all. I really feel he deserves winning almost 1 million dollars for his hard work and determination, especially on his last round, which he finished 3 under par to put him in the place to win first place overall.

Hamburg Masters

I was able to catch a glimpse of the final game of the Hamburg Masters before watching the the next Basketball game between the Cavs and the Pistons. I saw the score at 2-6 and 6-2 for the first two sets between #1 Roger Federer and #2 Rafael Nadal and they were just coming back from the break for the final set. Federer had kept Nadal running side to side on his part of the court with his strong forehand and backhand shots even though I think it was a while since Federer had been playing on the clay court. I finally got the chance to see Federer playing as he had not won any titles for over a year until this most recent game. Of all the matches I've watched that Nadal had been playing in, he had been dominating almost all of his matches throughout the whole tennis season, winning so many tournaments that I think it really is going to put him in a position to possibly take over the #1 title. Hopefully we will see a good match up against Federer and Nadal again soon!
